Hat-trick Against Al-Najma Grants Toney New Historic Records with Al-Ahli

Englishman Ivan Toney continued his brilliance with Al-Ahli Saudi, scoring a hat-trick against Al-Najma to lead his team to a 4-1 victory in Round 23 of the Roshn League.

Toney's hat-trick not only secured the three points for Al-Ahli but also set two unprecedented personal milestones in his career. He increased his tally this season to 31 goals in 33 matches, achieving his highest goal count in a single season.

He also set a new record for goal contributions in the Saudi Professional League, reaching 28 contributions in 21 matches, with 23 goals and 5 assists, surpassing his previous best.

Interestingly, Toney missed a penalty in the 37th minute that could have leveled the score for Al-Ahli, but he came back strong in the second half, compensating for the miss with three consecutive goals in the 69th, 87th, and 90+4 minutes, with the last goal coming from a penalty.
